Overview
TabVault is a Chrome extension for saving, organizing, searching, managing, and restoring groups of browser tabs as reusable sessions. It is designed to work locally without an account, analytics, advertising, subscription, AI service, or developer-operated backend.
Information handled by TabVault
When a user explicitly saves a browser window, TabVault stores session names, categories, webpage titles, webpage URLs, favicon URLs, pinned status, favorite status, protected-tab status, extension preferences, and local activity history. This information is needed to provide session search, management, restoration, and backup.
Storage and transmission
TabVault stores its information in Chrome local storage inside the user's Chrome profile. TabVault does not transmit saved session information to the developer or third parties.
Information TabVault does not collect
TabVault does not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location, webpage body content, form entries, clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, or keystrokes.
Sharing and selling
TabVault does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data to third parties. User information is not used for advertising, analytics, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to the extension's tab-session functionality.
User controls
- Delete individual sessions or saved tabs.
- Clear local activity history.
- Export a local JSON backup.
- Uninstall TabVault to remove its local Chrome storage.
Policy changes
If TabVault's data practices materially change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed version is distributed.
